May Day, better known as International Workers Day globally or Labour Day in Kenya, is here yet again. But rather than celebrate like their colleagues around the world, Kenya’s workers can only send out the SOS message, “mayday, mayday, who will come to our rescue?”

Kenyans living abroad will have to travel to the nearest Kenyan embassy or consulate and only vote for the President in the forthcoming elections, the chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Isaack Hassan said Thursday 26 April.
